Gardens for the Blind

In the 1950s and 1960s, Delta Gamma chapters helped fund a variety of Gardens for the Blind. Gardens were created with particularly fragrant and tactilely interesting plants. The idea was to provide a sensory experience, especially important for visually impaired people who might be isolated or feel ostracized.
