Service for Sight Schools
The Delta Gamma alumnae of Southern California took on the project of opening and running a school for the blind. The Los Angeles Nursery School for Visually Handicapped Children opened on October 3, 1938. It would later be called the Blind Children's Center. It is one of several schools funded by Delta Gamma, including the Anchor Center for Blind Children in Denver, Colorado; the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired in Kansas City, Missouri; and the Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments in St. Louis, Missouri.
