Do Good

This Project Pointers booklet from 1953 offers suggestions for chapters to plan their philanthropy projects.
Aid to the Blind and Sight Conservation
During an alumnae workshop session at the 1936 Convention, an altruistic, Fraternity-wide project was discussed. The minutes read, "It was moved, seconded and passed that the alumnae go on record as desiring an altruistic project." It was decided to have a broad focus so that individual chapters could choose their own local projects. Ruth Billow, Eta-Akron, herself blind, advocated for helping the blind, which was eventually moved, seconded, and passed. And so "Aid to the Blind and Sight Conservation" was born.
